#ShoplocalNI – Shop Local for Christmas this year to support local businesses!

We all know that shopping locally helps the environment, and it has taken on a new importance during the uncertainty and closures related to COVID. With Christmas approaching, it is time to think about how you are going to shop!

There a numerous environmental benefits to shopping local – local products don’t have to travel as far to reach you, small scale suppliers also tend use less packaging, we are supporting local jobs and artists and we can find out directly from manufacturers how ethically sourced their materials are.

To encourage SHOP LOCAL – a new map has been created which shares the top local businesses in Northern Ireland who customers can support in the coming weeks.

The map will be regularly updated in the run up to Christmas, as more local businesses and shops request to be included.

The map, which was created by Northern Irish marketing graduate David Clarke, is sorted into categories such as gifts, home, textiles, art, health, beauty, book shops, clothing, accessories, food & drink, crafts, hobbies, music and tech.
